Tickets:
How do I buy tickets?
You can buy tickets directly from us, or in advance through our Eventbrite booking system.
Please see the DATES page and click on when you’d like to attend a show.
We often update our FACEBOOK and TWITTER fans with offers, and you can access special discounts if you sign up to the Black Cat mailing list. Subscribers are kept bang up to date, and you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your inbox.
Do all tickets come with reserved seating?
All tickets for our Café Royal shows come with reserved seating.
What do you get when you buy a ticket?
Broadly, you can eat and be entertained, wine, dine and be treated like royalty, or just be entertained! In between that, there are options to suit most tastes and pockets, from show-only tickets, to VIP treatment.
Can I get a refund on my ticket as I can’t make it / missed it?
Tickets are non-refundable. It is sometimes possible to change date of booking or issue a refund when over 30 days in advance of booking date. However this is strictly at discretion of the BCC team.

What is the door policy?
Over-18s only.
What is the dress code?
Vintage attire is encouraged but not compulsory. No shorts or sandals on men.
Are hen parties / stag parties allowed?
Hen parties are allowed, provided no one wears or wields ostentatious paraphernalia.
All in your party must abide by the venue’s age policy and dress code.
We’re sorry but we cannot host stag parties.

Seating:
What are the seating arrangements?
In the Oscar Wilde Bar, where the main show takes place, our tables are of two and four. If you are a larger group then you will be all be grouped together in an area of the room. The best seats in the house are reserved for VIP guests. If you have purchased a dinner ticket then you will be served in the Domino Room for starter and main, then move on to the Oscar Wilde Bar for dessert… and cabaret! The largest tables in the Domino Room are for eight, but again larger parties will be grouped together in an area of the room.
Are large groups allowed?
They certainly are! Please get in touch directly to make arrangements.
Do I have to share my table?
The nature of cabaret style seating is that tables are shared, however this only applies to show only guests at HCR. Please get in touch directly for more information.
Will my group be able to sit together?
Definitely. If you’re making your bookings separately, drop us an email with all of the names under which bookings have been made, and we’ll make sure they’re linked on our bookings diary. If your party is is a larger one then we’ll ensure that these tables are placed close next to each other.
Show:
If we don’t have dinner can we still see the show?
Of course! Just buy a Show Only or general admission ticket.
My son/daughter is 16, can they come to the show?
Not for a few years yet. All our venues are over-18s only.
What happens after the show?
After the show, our venues remain open for drinking and dancing. You are welcome to join us for the after-party until late, where you can party with fellow guests. Often the performers will be hanging around, enjoying a tipple and making merry.
May I take photos and film stuff with my camera/phone?
Not while performances are on, sorry. Photography and filming during performances is strictly forbidden. It’s distracting for the performers and your fellow guests. Live in the moment and enjoy it while it lasts! Feel free to snap yourselves (and perhaps itinerant cast members) before, during the interval and after the show though.

What are the dinner options?
Please see our DINING page for our Café Royal menu. Dinner is served in the Domino Room before the show but you’ll move down to the Oscar Wilde Bar for dessert and drinks before the shows starts.
Will we have dinner while the show is on?
Yes, there is some crossover, but that’s the nature of a cabaret supper club! At Hotel Café Royal, dinner is served in the Domino Room before dessert and drinks are served in the Oscar Wilde Bar before the show starts.
Do we keep the table all night?
This will be at manager’s discretion on the night. We guarantee your table until 10.30pm, then subject to availability you may be able to remain at the table for longer.
Times:
What time is dinner and what time is the show?
At Café Royal the doors open at 6.15pm for diners and 7.30pm for show only guests, with the show starting at 8.15pm. Dinner must be served before the show starts. If you are dining with us please arrive no later than 7pm. The show ends around 10pm with music and bar afterwards until 2am.
Can we arrive late for dinner?
Not without letting us know!
